Thank you, fellow Wanderers, for the excellent questions. Without further adieu, here are my answers:

Question Number One: I know it's cheating but I'm wondering what you are working on now. I always wonder before a new book comes out and I can't wait for the next one.

It is not cheating! I am busy working on a book about “thin places.” That is, transformative places where the distance between this world and the “other world” (however you define it) is wafer thin. Think of it as the geography of awe. For my research, I’ve traveled to Ireland (where the term “thin places” originated) and to the Scottish isle of Iona and the Empty Quarter desert of Oman, among other places. I’m really excited about this project. I think it is what the world needs now. I don’t yet have an official publication date. As they say, watch this space!

Question Number Two: I’m curious which book you most enjoyed writing in terms of the research. Which topic was your favorite to explore in terms of experiences, interviews, etc.? And which was your least favorite to research?
