I have felt for a while that you and I are on similar photographic paths. After many moons of shooting current affairs video as a one-woman band in various far-flung locals, along with teaching myself professional editing (which has paid a lot of bills) I have become a born-again photographer.
We are, though I think you are several steps ahead of me. I realized I miss the “gear” part of radio. The tactile experience. Photography is the next best thing. It gets me out of my head. Plus, I get to buy lots of cool gear!

That's good to know! I'm going to book our ferry to Mull tomorrow and hopefully get over there in June. I've heard you can actually kayak over from our campsite :)
